Warren Theater to show OU-Texas game

Saturday the Cotton Bowl will be filled with more than 70,000 screaming fans as No. 1 Oklahoma takes on No. 5 Texas in the annual Red River Rivalry. It’s the biggest game of the year for both teams and their fans.

However, not every fan in Oklahoma will be able to make the trek down to Dallas for the game. For those who live in or around Moore, the owners of the Warren Theatre have a solution: They are offering a tailgate party at the theater on the day of the game. Those who attend will be able to watch Oklahoma and Texas battle in one of their grand auditoriums.

The game will be shown on a 40 feet by 80 feet screen using Digital Cinema and THX technology.

Admission is $12, which includes two hot dogs, potato chips, cole slaw and a choice of candy. Seats in the balcony sold for $18, but according to theater officials, they already sold out the 76 seat section.

Doors open at 10 a.m. and the game starts an hour later.
